Are you a huge fan of trying to hit a hole-in-one with your ideal group of clubs? Maybe you have your nine iron and your putter, and you are interested in breaking them in during your upcoming vacation. Instead of going to the same old beach spots or crowded cities, where finding a green and lush course can be tough, why not head somewhere with the best of both worlds? We are talking about golf in Whitefish, MT. This beautiful and expansive mountain town offers proximity to a local town, hiking, biking, watersports, and Whitefish, Montana golf courses to suit your fancy. Let’s check out a few must-visit golf spots for your impending holiday.
Iron Horse Golf Course
Iron Horse Golf Course is located on Iron Horse Drive in Whitefish, Flathead County. This golf course is an 18-hole course featuring over 7,000 yards of fairways and putting greens. The course was built in 2000 and features bluegrass fairways, bent grass greens, and a par-71 layout.
Whitefish Lake Golf Course
The Whitefish Lake Golf Course is one of the most widely used and famous Whitefish, Montana golf courses in the area, featuring a North Course and South Course. The North Course is the most popular among tourists and locals, but both courses offer a unique viewpoint of the lake, challenging putts, long drives, and water fixtures.
The North Course is a beautiful collection of bright green grass, long driving ranges, small putting areas, well-manicured putting spaces, lush green trees, and pristine views of the bright blue lake. You can even put your name in to join one of the infamous tournaments or enjoy a ‘Ladies Night Golf’ event with your friends during your holiday! We recommend coming here for one of their big events, like a men’s league game, 4th of July party, family reunion, or even a wedding! This is one of the most picturesque places in the state, so we love holding a huge get-together here.
The South Course at Whitefish Lake Golf Course was built in 1979 and has undergone restorations in recent years since then, featuring bent grass fairways and green ways. We recommend golfing here between May 31st and October 31st for the prime golf season!
