Whitefish Lake Restaurants

Located at the Whitefish Lake Golf Club, this isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a founding piece of Whitefish history. Offering multiple dining experiences for lunch and dinner, guests love admiring the beauty of the ceiling timbers sourced from the surrounding woods nearly 100 years ago.

Cypress Yard

This unique Mediterranean Whitefish restaurant, as well as a beer and wine bar, offers outdoor seating and al fresco dining. With a focus on fresh and seasonal ingredients, they offer award-winning burgers, tapas and soups, local Montana craft beers on tap and a balanced wine list.

Buffalo Café and Nightly Grill

A family run business since the late 1970s, Buffalo Cafe is a Whitefish staple that started off serving breakfast and lunch. Today they offer dinner service as well, earning countless titles including “Best Breakfast,” “Best Family Restaurant,” and “Best Server in Whitefish” year after year.

Ciao Mambo

An atmosphere buzzing with energy and music, Ciao Mambo’s offers the perfect setting to gather with the people you love and enjoy an immigrant-style Italian cuisine. So bring that special someone, bring the kids, or bring the whole extended family; the Italian food can’t be beat.

Latitude 48 Bistro

There’s a little bit of everything on the menu at Latitude 48. Plates to share include their Seared Beef Filet Tips (complete with a cheesy Brazilian waffle) and Thai-fried Tofu. There are salads and house-made pastas and noodles with choices including Linguine (with those elk meatballs), and Ramen. You can order the Margherita pizza, but why not try the Polpetta (elk meatball) or the Jamon (roasted red grapes with cambozola cheese and prosciutto) to spice things up a bit? New York Strip, a Roasted Half Chicken, and Grilled Pork Lion are among your entrée selections. Leave room to try their duck ice cream!

There’s a wide variety of cocktails to choose from including the quirkily named Space Cheetah, the Kombucha Creation and the Bear Hug. Just in the mood for a quick bite and refreshing cocktail? Make a stop at the Red Room Lounge, conveniently located in the downstairs of Latitude 48.

LouLa’s Cafe

Located on the lower level of the Historic Masonic temple building downtown Whitefish, LouLa’s is open for breakfast and lunch only, seven days a week. Breakfast menu items to try include the Huckleberry Pancakes, Lemon Stuffed French Toast (a local favorite) or the Pumpkin French Toast (when in season). For lunch, there is a wide variety of items to choose from including sandwiches, Po’Boys, burritos and burgers, and salads. And the pies! The list of homemade, “made from scratch” pies LouLa’s carries is amazing, from Huckleberry and Sour Cream Apple to Bourbon Pecan and Peanut Butter Mousse.

Zucca Marketplace Bistro

“Healthy Mediterranean in the heart of Whitefish.” Their byline says it all. Located in the newly renovated warehouse complex, the Stumptown Marketplace, Zucca has a wide variety of soups, paninis, and wraps. This really is a healthy option for lunch. Portobello Panino, Italian Sausage Flatbread (on Flatbread Fridays), Velvet Tomato soup and Curry Cauliflower soup are just a few of the past daily specials.

The Firebrand Restaurant

Located in the Firebrand Hotel, the Firebrand serves breakfast, brunch, and dinner, and of course there’s a coffee bar (offering small bites to go and their custom blended coffee) and regular bar too. The restaurant’s popular menu items include the Duck Bacon Benedict, and the venison breakfast burger. A few of their menu offerings fit right in with being in the Old West (like the Duck Bruschetta, and Buttermilk Fried Rabbit Bites), while delicious options may not (Ahi Tacos, and Koji Dry Aged Beef Filet).
