The Whitefish Lake Restaurant at Whitefish Lake Golf Club isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a founding piece of Whitefish history. Bought in the 1920s by several Whitefish residents, the plot of 104 acres was eventually gifted to the City of Whitefish with the stipulation that it would become a golf course for local golfers and double as an emergency landing strip. This dream came to fruition in 1935 and the clubhouse was built just two years later in 1937. Today, the clubhouse is now the Whitefish Lake Restaurant, which is settled on the only 36-hole golf complex in Montana. Sitting in the dining room of the Whitefish Lake Restaurant is like a taking a trip back in time, allowing you to soak in the beauty of the timbers sourced from the surrounding woods nearly 100 years ago which were then crafted to create the crisscrossed beams overhead along with the walls and ceiling.

The lunch menu is sure to please with classic favorites that will undoubtedly satisfy. Offering a variety of sandwiches and burgers, you can customize your meal with a selection of French fries, cottage cheese, or salad. Diners with specific diet restrictions (be it gluten-free, keto, or other food sensitivities) will rejoice at the plethora of options when it comes to customizing their meal, as substitutes are not only available, but welcomed.
